“THE HARDEST THINGS IN LIFE EVENTUALLY MAKE US STRONGER”

-Fitted -

Writing an artist bio is almost impossible considering that the story is never over. When you consider how sensitive people are and how much criticism surrounds us daily it gets even more impossible when you consider what to include, or what to leave out. I hate to judge myself. A bio to me is almost like writing a song because you have a beginning, middle, and an end. In this case there really isn’t an ending because the show still goes on. The problem is how we choose to view and analyze another person’s life.

PRESENT l will start with the present. Born Gregory Caldwell and goes by the stage Name Fitted or FittedsMusic. I write and record on a weekly basis. For a life that seems so fulfilling and exciting it can be boring at times sitting in a vacant room with a microphone and speakers blaring music all so I can write the next song that I think the next person will like. It’s also stressful considering that I am my own worst critic. My home in the inner city of Cohoes is about 3 hours from New York City and about 15 minutes from the states capital Albany. It’s funny because I always say that I want to tour non-stop and live in a place where the lights are bright, the city never sleeps, and the girls and weather are both hot. But the truth is, as much as I love to travel this is the only home I will ever know and it’s where I get most of my inspiration.

HIGHSCHOOL In high school at Columbia High, I was somewhat of a class clown and didn’t do too much but skip school, play basketball, and break up with girls more often than I was dating them. Some would say I was inconsiderate of other people’s feelings but I was more of lost cause. I struggled to find an identity because I was the minority. Fitting in was hard considering that I didn’t get along with most people. It wasn’t until my sophmore year when I found that music was my passion. It became clear before I finished high school that this is what I was made to do.

COLLEGE Shortly after high school I attended Hudson Valley Community College for a few years and studied Criminal Justice. I graduated with an Associates in Applied Science Degree for criminal justice and I am currently balancing music, family and classes working my way up to finish a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration in fall 2017. School doesn’t necessarily interest me but it’s the challenge and overcoming the fear of things I don’t want to do and things that I didn’t think I could do that keep balance in my life.
