He is Fitted, a leading hip-hop musician in the Capital Region. (A friend gave him that nickname in high school, because he always wore fitted hats.) As he builds a resume that he hopes someday will lead to stardom, he adds another line Saturday when he opens for the rapper and actress Lil' Kim at Northern Lights. "Fitted really does set himself apart from other guys in the area," says Lamel Hubbard, a local hip-hop promoter. "He's a great lyricist. He's got a flowing delivery. His production is awesome. It's almost like he is the main event when he performs for me. "He's just a breath of fresh air.

The Daily Gazette

Over the years, the 24-year-old Caldwell has opened local shows for Wu-Tang Clan, Big Sean and Roscoe Dash. In March of this year, he hooked up with The Nappy Roots to do a remix of his own track “Counting Sheep” and co-headline a show at Northern Lights.

Fitted’s resume is quite impressive. Last year he opened up for Wu-Tang Clan’s Rebirth Tour. This year, on top of a few of local performances in his area, Fitted has also shared the stage with other big artists such as G.O.O.D Music’s Big Sean in April of 2011.
